SQiL is the acronym for Semaine québécoise de l'informatique libre, which litteraly translates to Québec Week of Free Computing. An annual event coordinated by volunteers from FACiL, the SQiL consists in nine intense days of activities around free computing thoughout Québec during the month of September. Everything that is free as in freedom is welcomed during the SQiL: software, hardware, knowledge or culture, in other words everything that can be put under a free license and therefore takes part in the construction, development and conservation of our digital commons.
